Overtime Thriller Sends Series Back to Denver

The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off a stunning overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets 119-114 Wednesday night in Game 4 of their Western Conference semifinal series.

Wolves Survive Dramatic Finish

Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 30 points and 15 rebounds, while Anthony Edwards added 27 points. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 33 points and 14 rebounds, but he was not enough to overcome the Wolves' perimeter defense. The Nuggets led by 9 in the 4th quarter, but the Wolves came storming back in the final minutes. Edwards hit a clutch three-pointer with just over a minute remaining to send the game into overtime.

In overtime, the Wolves took control of the game and never looked back. They hit 5 of 6 field goals in the extra period, including a pair of threes, and forced the Nuggets into several turnovers. The Nuggets never led in overtime and the Wolves held on for the 5 point victory.

The series now shifts back to Denver for Game 5 on Sunday night. The Nuggets will need to win on their home court to keep their hopes of advancing to the Western Conference Finals alive.
