Sequel to Ridley Scott's 2000 Blockbuster Set for November Release

Paramount has released the trailer for Gladiator 2, the highly anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott's 2000 blockbuster. The film will be directed and co-produced by Scott, with a script written by Peter Craig, David Scarpa, and Todd Phillips.

Paul Mescal, known for his role in the television series Normal People, will take over the lead role from Russell Crowe. The film also stars Connie Nielsen, who played Lucilla in the original, as well as Joseph Quinn, Pedro Pascal, and Lucius the son of Maximus's love Lucilla.

The trailer teases an epic historical drama that follows Lucius as he seeks revenge for the death of his father. The film promises stunning visuals, gripping action sequences, and a compelling story that will captivate audiences.

Gladiator II is set to release on November 22, 2024.
