The United States women's gymnastics team, known as the Final Five, won the team event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. The team blew away the field, with Great Britain finishing fifth. This is the fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal for the United States in the women's team event.
The Final Five consists of Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Madison Kocian, and Laurie Hernandez. Biles, who is considered to be the greatest gymnast of all time, won four gold medals and one bronze medal in Rio. Douglas, Raisman, and Kocian each won one gold medal and one silver medal. Hernandez won a bronze medal in the balance beam event.
